My best result in CQWW SSB so far. This was the first "real" SO effort after many years of M/S or M/M at different places.

Unexpected excellent condx on the highbands produced some nice pile ups especially to the US on 10 and 15m.

Especially 15m worked fine, my homebrew Yagi (DL1IAO-design) sure was the reason for the good signal there.

I managed to get some hours of sleep before the contest and therefore the first day worked very well. I took a rest period of 5 hours during the 2nd night and started again with bands waking up on 15m and 10m.

There is still some room for improvement (like always). The 40m wire vertical was not working at all. Lots of stations just couldn`t hear me, thus lost a lot of Mults were not worked. Even not thinking about calling CQ on 40...
Hopefully the band will be opened up for EU to 7.200 soon.

SO2R-switching will be improved next time, unfortunatelly the ZS4TX Super Combo Keyer, which I wanted to use, didn`t reach me in time.

As you see on the photo we had the first snow during CQWWSSB, temperature dropped to -10 celsius during the nights!
The shack keeped warm, our autumn work shifts building and isolating the room payed off.
