Used the new station at DF0WA for the first
time.
The plan was to work 10m single band to give the band a last
chance before sun spots allow no good runs any more; so this was a
"good bye 10m contest" !
The homebrew 7ele Yagi designed by DL1IAO really did a great job
and I enjoyed breaking the pile ups.
2 hours before the band closed we had to lower the antenna because
of a bad storm. Fortunally nothing broke.
The antenna was abt 5m high for the rest of the contest.
Nevertheless I managed to get some more mults into the log.
The 2nd antenna - although too low - was useful for quick
multi-working and sure brought some africans or south americans
into the log, that otherwise wouldn`t be in. |
